- Spanish Army captain. Captain Felix Arenas Gaspar (December 13, 1891 – July 29, 1921), a Puerto Rican, was a Captain in the Spanish Army who was posthumously awarded the Cruz Laureada de San Fernando for his actions in the Rif War. The Cruz Laureada de San Fernando is the highest military decoration awarded by the Spanish government. It is bestowed on a member of the Spanish armed forces who distinguishes himself during combat.
