Walther von Axthelm

- German General and Knight's Cross recipients. Kurt Georg Heinrich Andersen (2 October 1898 – 9 January 2003) was a highly decorated Generalmajor in the Luftwaffe during World War II and a Brigadegeneral in the Bundesgrenzschutz. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership.
