- Republican U.S. Representative from New York. Charles Goodwin Bennett (December 11, 1863 – May 25, 1914) was a U.S. Representative from New York. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Bennett attended the public schools. He graduated from Brooklyn High School and from New York Law School in 1882. He was admitted to the bar in 1882, commenced practice in Brooklyn, and was an unsuccessful candidate for election in 1892 to the Fifty-third Congress. Born 12/11/1863. Died 05/25/1914.
