Raoul Wallenberg
- Diplomat, Diplomat. Raoul Wallenberg (August 4, 1912 – July 17, 1947?) was a Swedish humanitarian who worked in Budapest, Hungary, during World War II to rescue Jews from the Holocaust. Between July and December 1944, he issued protective passports and housed Jews in buildings established as Swedish territory, saving tens of thousands of lives. On January 17, 1945, he was called into detention by the Soviets after they entered Budapest, and was reported to have died in March whilst in their care. Born 08/04/1912. Died 07/16/1947.
