- Australian politician, Clerk. Edwin Wilkie "Ted" Corboy (24 August 1896 – 6 August 1950) was an Australian politician. Born in Victoria, he was educated in Western Australia at Perth Boys' School, after which he served in the military from 1915-1917. He returned as a clerk. In 1918, he was elected to the Australian House of Representatives in unusual circumstances, winning the safe Nationalist seat of Swan for the Labor Party in a by-election. Born 08/24/1896.
