- United States federal judge. Odell Horton (May 13, 1929 – February 22, 2006) was a United States federal judge. Horton was born in Bolivar, Tennessee. He received a B.A. from Morehouse College in 1951. He received an LL.B. from Howard University School of Law in 1956. He was a U.S. Marine Corps from 1946 to 1947 and from 1951 to 1953, and was a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.. He was in private practice in Memphis, Tennessee from 1957 to 1962.
