- United States federal judge. Edward Cochrane McLean (October 16, 1903 – October 12, 1972) was a United States federal judge. McLean was born in Hoosick Falls, New York. He received an A.B. from Williams College in 1924. He received an LL.B. from Harvard Law School in 1929. He was a Deputy assistant district attorney of New York County, New York from 1935 to 1936. He was in private practice in New York City from 1943 to 1962. He was a judge on the Probate Court, Darien, Connecticut from 1957 to 1962. Born 10/16/1903. Died 10/12/1972.
