George Morgan Thomas

. George Morgan Thomas (November 23, 1828 – January 7, 1914) was a U.S. Representative from Kentucky. Born near Poplar Flat, Kentucky, Thomas was educated in the common schools. He taught school two years. He was school commissioner from 1850 to 1859. He studied law. He was admitted to the bar in 1851 and practiced. Thomas was elected prosecuting attorney of Lewis County in 1854 and served for four years. He was a member of the State house of representatives 1859-1863. Born 11/23/1828. Died 01/07/1914.
