- Australian politician. Alan Peter Steedman (born 7 December 1943) was an Australia politician. At Melbourne University he edited Farrago, the Melbourne University Student Union paper. He also edited Lot's Wife at Monash University. In 1983, he was elected to the Australian House of Representatives as the Labor member for Casey, defeating Liberal MP Peter Falconer.
